Growing your faith starts with deciding it’s worth doing. That’s not always easy with so much going on in our lives, but God will bless your efforts in ways you can’t yet imagine. Once you’ve decided to grow your faith, there are some concrete things you can do to get started.

Worship Daily - Worship is bigger than what we do on a Sunday morning. Worship is putting God in His proper place and we do it anytime we honor Him and recognize his authority over us. Going to God in prayer and seeking to know Him more through the Scriptures are just a couple examples of ways we can worship. It’s something we need to do every single day, not because He needs it but because WE need to remind ourselves that He is in charge. It’s a reset button to regain that focus of putting God in His proper place over our lives.

Meet Weekly - Faith grows best in community. At St.Philip’s we encourage you to connect each week with other folks who are working on growing their faith too. A great way to do that is through a Life Group. Most Life Groups meet weekly and use a sermon based curriculum to dig deeper into the Bible. You can find out more about Life Groups by clicking here.

Serve Monthly - God made each of us unique with special gifts and when we use those gifts for His purposes, the whole body of Christ is built up. Everyone is encouraged to find a place to use their gifts to serve others. You’ll find lots of ways you can serve at St. Philips by clicking here. You may also be called to serve in your family or out in your community.

Give Regularly - One of the last places we want to give up control is in our finances. Often the amount of peace we experience is directly tied to the ups and downs of our bank accounts. Jesus knew that and he challenges us to look to Him for our peace and security. As Christians, we are called to give. We are called to be good stewards and use our resources to help others. You don’t have to give to St. Philip’s, but you do need to give somewhere. It’s the act of letting go and trusting God that will ultimately grow your faith. Spend some time in prayer and ask God to reveal to you what He wants you to give each month, then, be faithful to His leading.
