Holy Week

March 24/25 – PALM SUNDAY – Saturday 5:00 pm, Sunday 9:00 and 11:15 am

Participate in the recreation of Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem.
Children of all ages are invited to take part in a special Palm Sunday processional at the beginning of all services.
Nursery: Available for Infant – 4 yr., Lein Education Building.
Children: Worship with family at all services. Children’s Chapel option during worship for 4 yr. – 2nd Grade begins in the Sanctuary and then processes to St. Philip’s Hall, returning for Communion. (Children participating in chapel need to check-in prior to the service at the Welcome Center to receive a name tag for security purposes.)
Sparrows: (Children with special needs) 9 am in St. Philip’s Hall, Room 106.
Youth: Worship with family at all services.
Sunday School for all ages @ 10:15 am Sunday
– Youth Sunday School: 6-12th grade in the Youth Room.
– Children’s Sunday School: Infant – PK 4/5 (4 yr. as of 9/1/16) in Lein Education Building, K – 5th Grade in St. Philip’s Hall.
– Adult Sunday School Classes: St. Philip’s Hall.

March 29 – MAUNDY THURSDAY – 7:00 pm

Experience Jesus’ final night with his disciples when he modeled a servant’s heart through the washing of their feet and then instituting the Eucharist as we celebrate it today. This moving service is essential for preparing your heart for Easter.
Nursery: Available for Infant – Kindergarten, Lein Education Building.
Children: Elementary age children are encouraged to attend this special service with their families.

Prayer Watch
Keep Watch With Jesus – Following the 7:00 pm Maundy Thursday service we will begin a Prayer Watch lasting throughout the night (the Watch will begin at approximately 9:00 pm). The worship building will be open all night for all who would like to keep watch and pray with Jesus, as he prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane. The Watch will end at 8:00 am with a service of Morning Prayer. You may sign up for a time to pray with Jesus during that time or come and go as you feel led.

March 30 – GOOD FRIDAY – Noon – Stations of the Cross and 7:30 pm – Shadows of the Cross

Walk with Jesus from the moment he was condemned by Pilate and then, carries his cross through the streets of Jerusalem, is nailed to the cross, dies and is buried.
12:00 noon – Stations of the Cross
Service will begin in the Sanctuary and then, move outside to Stations around campus.
No Children’s programming or nursery available at the noon service.
7:30 pm – Good Friday Service with Communion: Shadows of the Cross
This outdoor re-enactment of the Stations of the Cross will be an unforgettable experience for the entire family. This moving presentation, featuring narration and beautiful music, is performed using silhouettes of actors and actresses behind a large screen. Bring your blankets or outdoor chairs to set up on the lawn near the High Cross. We encourage people with chairs to sit to the side or back of the lawn so as not to block the view of those on blankets.
Nursery: Available for Infant – Pre-K 5, Lein Education Building.

March 31 – EASTER SATURDAY SERVICES – 2:00 and 5:00 pm

Join us for amazing music and worship as we celebrate our risen Savior and the new life that only comes by faith in Him.
2:00 pm – Family Easter Service and Flowering of the Cross
Hear the Easter story through special music from our Children’s Chorus and dramatic readings presented by children. Please bring a fresh flower for our Flowering of the Cross. After the service, there will be photo spots available for family selfies and all children will receive an Easter bag filled with treats.
Nursery: Available for Infant – Pre-K 4, Lein Education Building. (However, please note that this service is appropriate for preschoolers.)
5:00 pm – Saturday Night Easter Service
Traditional Easter service with a sung Eucharist. Children’s Chapel option during worship for 4 yr. – 2nd Grade begins in the Sanctuary and then processes to St. Philip’s Hall, returning for Communion.
