Flourishing – Armor Plated
I remember the first time I saw an armadillo – on its back, legs pointed towards the sky. Yes, it was dead, but I was fascinated with this unusual-looking creature nonetheless. Its shell was bent with the form of the animal, the bands around its middle resembling a hard-shelled accordion. And its shell plate was so integrated into its form, wiry hair actually grew through, and even on, its shell.
The armadillo is actually a perfect example of how we are meant to wear the spiritual armor of God. How are we specifically outfitted to wear our spiritual armor? And what pieces of armor make up the form of a Christ-follower?
