Friends of the Heart
Back to School can be an exciting time for kids – but also an anxious one. Will I make new friends? Will they like me? Although we may be too old for the school playground, one thing never changes. We all want to be liked. We were created to be in relationship with others – it’s even in our DNA. Our friends inspire us, encourage us, and reduce our stress. But if friendships are so essential in our lives, why are they so difficult? What do true “friendships of the heart” look like and what can they teach us?
