Gospel Living – Children of Promise

If I were to ask if you have children, what would your answer be? “Yes, she is five” – or maybe “my son is 16”. What about us? We are all somebody’s child, no matter our age. To be somebody’s child is to name a special relationship – and “Children of Promise” denotes a special relationship with Jesus Christ.

How does Paul use the story of Abraham, Sarah and Hagar to illustrate this covenant relationship? How do these women represent the upholding (or not) of God’s covenant? And how is Jesus “sandwiched” in between them?
