Gospel Living – Growth

Did your mama ever tell you, “you can catch more flies with honey than you can catch with vinegar”? If Paul’s mama told him that, he didn’t listen, did he? Paul begins the 3rd chapter of Galatians by asking “you foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you?” Yes, Paul may need to work on his people skills. But in his defense, he is passionate about the Gospel, and protective of the people in the church he loves so deeply.

Paul has already addressed their problem of wanting to add to the Gospel, and checked them on their integrity. Today, Paul addresses the next step in a disciple’s life – how do we move from being accepted by God, to growing as disciples of Jesus? How can the way we grow as Christians be the same way we become Christians?
