Gospel Living – Integrity

In raising our daughters, my husband and I often use “cautionary tales” to help shape them and build integrity, providing real-life examples of what to avoid, as well as what some better choices may be. Many of my tales focus on a young schoolmate of mine, Christopher. Some of Christopher’s “classics” include why we don’t run with a sharp pencil, and why we don’t walk the monkey bars like a tightrope.

Saint Paul, in a way, is using a cautionary tale of “what to avoid” in his letter to the Galatians. His tale is both practical, and character-shaping – to build integrity. What does a life of integrity look like? What happens when we fall into hypocrisy instead? How does Paul guide us to live out the gospel in this way?
