Gospel Living – Nothing Else
Imagine the very best dish you’ve ever eaten. Maybe you prepared it at home, or got it at a fantastic restaurant. It may be a main course, or even dessert – but it was perfect. Now imagine I took your dish and added a heaping tablespoon of pepper. Not so perfect, right?
Your perfect dish, ruined with pepper, is a metaphor for all that Paul is going to write about in his letter to the church in Galatia. As he approaches this most critical moment in his ministry, he could be left with the perfect dish served, or a peppery mess. Why was Paul anxious about someone coming along to ruin his “perfect recipe”? What was the outcome? And why do we still struggle with that situation today?
