Is Jesus the One?

In Matthew Ch. 10, Jesus sent out his apostles to go and multiply his ministry. Word was beginning to spread all over, and it was a high point for Jesus’ ministry.

Meanwhile, John the Baptist asked from prison, “Is Jesus the One?” Astonishing, right? Jesus went to John to commit himself to God; John baptized Jesus; he gave him his first apostles. So why would John doubt Jesus? And what did Jesus think of John’s questioning?
