Practical Discipleship – Perseverance
On our recent family vacation in Montana, we set out on a scenic hike. I, being a “short hiker”, didn’t pack anything but a map. My wife and kids, however, brought their backpacks filled with supplies, which at the time I didn’t think we needed. After all, we weren’t going very far, right? But as we passed the lookout point and kept going, my trail turned into a trial – I hadn’t anticipated going any further. As we kept going, as you can imagine the supplies my family brought really came in handy. Thanks to them, we were prepared.
The New Testament letter of James equips us with what we need in our backpacks along the trails of faith. As the trails in your life turn into trials, what 3 things does James say you need to be prepared?
