Practical Discipleship – Prayer and Anointing
As many of you know, I was a cheerleader in both high school and in college. When I started cheering at SMU, the team wasn’t doing well. It was hard to “find joy in all things” and stay upbeat and hopeful when we were losing – but that’s what cheerleaders do.
In contrast to last week’s image of St. James wearing boxing gloves, in this week’s passage (Chapter 5, verses 13-18) I see him as holding a megaphone – cheering for us to “find joy in all things” even when it’s difficult. How do you hear James cheering you on, especially in your prayer life?
