Practical Discipleship – Words
How great a forest is set ablaze by a small fire? In just the first half of this year, there were nearly 38,000 forest fires in the U.S., destroying nearly 3 million acres – each started from a small flame. Our tongues contain a similar ability to form words that spread and consume, impacting situations positively or negatively. Our words can reveal our thoughts, our feelings, even our character. Sadly, it’s almost impossible to control our tongues.
What advice does James give us about the ability to control our tongues, and being mindful of the words we choose to use?
