WISDOM of the Cross
We’ve all experienced the realization that sometimes the best things in life are somehow where you least expect to find them. Haven’t we all had a friend recommend an unassuming hole-in-the-wall restaurant you may be skeptical to try, only to find out it has the very best food?
Imagine what Paul faced when telling the people of Corinth the story of the cross – some found it offensive, others ridiculous. Certainly no “good” could come from something that, on the surface, seemed so bad. How could a convicted felon who died a humiliating death on the cross be the Savior of the world? And how can the cross represent God’s “deepest wisdom” that answers the important questions in our lives?
