Adult learning and spiritual growth never end.

No matter where you are in your faith journey, you can learn and grow as a disciple of Jesus, discern the work of the Holy Spirit in your life, generously bless others, and engage in making more disciples.

Life Groups

Life groups are a great way for you to grow as a disciple of Christ. Our faith journey is not meant to be done alone, nor is it fully experienced in worship. God created us to be in community with one another, to learn together, encourage each other, pray together, and care for one another.

Disciple Group examples:

Word for Word Scripture Study
Mondays, 10-11:30 am

This Women’s Scripture Study covers every word of a selected book of the Bible with time for teaching and discussion.

Men’s Bible Study
Monday Nights, 7-8 pm

Men of all ages are invited to join us on Monday nights for a deeper examination of books of the Bible. This group meets in-person and online for flexibility.

Life is Better Together Group
Every other Sunday, 5-8 pm

Fun place to grow in faith and enjoy fellowship. All ages and stages of life are welcome!

Disciple Groups

Disciple Groups are formed and led by parishioners. These groups meet with the goal of growing as a disciple of Christ through Bible study, Christian book discussion, prayer, and service projects for the church and community. Many of these groups meet in member’s homes or on the St. Philip’s campus.

Fellowship Groups

Fellowship Groups are formed and led by parishioners. These groups typically gather socially once a month or more. They also pray together, support one another, and support outreach projects.

Fellowship Group examples:

Christians in Fellowship

This dynamic group of adults connects the hearts and lives of our church family through monthly social gatherings (August - April), an annual Thanksgiving Luncheon, special events like the theater or concerts, and outreach support.

Men's Fellowship Group

This group aims to build relationships among men at St. Philip’s. The location of fellowship events will vary. Learn more and join the Men's Fellowship Group to stay in the loop about upcoming events.

Hooks & Needles

This group meets the 2nd Saturday of the month to make prayer shawls and baby blankets while enjoying snacks and each other's company. If you want to learn how to knit or crochet or need a refresher, we'll be happy to work with you!

Ministry Groups

Ministry Groups are established by St. Philip’s and support a specific ministry of the church. These groups are typically led by a lay leader with support and/or direction from clergy and staff ministry leaders. They are vital to the ongoing operation of our church, special events, and worship services.

Ministry Group examples:

Mom Connect
Meets every other Thursday, 9:30-11 am

Connect with other moms as we grow our faith, laugh, comfort, encourage, and have FUN together through the journey of motherhood! Mom Connect meets in the Fall and Spring every other Thursday from 9:30-11 am (free childcare with registration). We also plan fun Moms’ Night Out events throughout the year.

SERT: Safety & Emergency Response Team

This vital team is dedicated to the safety of our parishioners, guests, and staff by monitoring activity on our campus during services and events, and responding to emergencies, as needed. No experience is needed but a background check and training is required to join the team.

Daughters of the King

Daughters of the King is an order of women devoted to serving Christ. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, the vision is to know Christ and to make Him known to others. There is a 3-month training and discernment period. Our St. Philip’s Daughters of the King Order prays weekly for the needs of our congregation.
